Trey Nichols is a playwright, screenwriter and story consultant based in Los Angeles, California.

He is a longtime member of Moving Arts, an award-winning theatre company located in the heart of LA's historic Silver Lake District.  For twelve years, Trey served as the theatre's Literary Director, moderating the company's Playreading Series and playing a vital role in the development of new plays.  Trey has also served as a consultant for playwriting and screenwriting competitions.

Trey currently moderates a popular weekly playwriting workshop in west LA and consults privately with playwrights and screenwriters. 

He is a proud member of  The Dramatists Guild and The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights.

Trey received a B.S. in Theatre from Northwestern University.

Trey’s critically acclaimed solo show, A Lesson in Proper Bow-Fluffing Technique (Storey Productions/Moving Arts) earned a 2005 Ovation nomination for Best Solo Performance.  Set at the height of the holiday season, the piece is a multi-character comedy based on Trey's real-life day job in a department store.  Critics have described the show as "a razor sharp portrait...as well written as it is performed" (Los Angeles Times) and  "surprisingly poignant" (LA Weekly).  Trey is currently preparing for holiday performances and  touring in Southern California and beyond.  For booking information and to learn more about the show go here.
